Listening Prayer - Wednesday 13 December 2023 - Luke 12:22-34

This week we are looking at Luke 12:22-34(NIV)

Welcome to week two or “Your Summer of Spiritual Growth”. This is where we will work through 13 specifically selected scriptures to prepare you for what God has for you in 2023.

We know that a number of you who are not able to attend the live Zoom calls on Wednesday morning do work through these scriptures in your own time. We ask that you consider sharing what God shows you each week under this blog.

A reminder that we meet at 6 am Brisbane time every Wednesday morning.

We provide these both for those who can attend and for those who are unable too.

For those unable to attend, we encourage you to work through these and then share at the end of the blog post in the comments section that which God spoke to you about. You can also listen to the recording on our Listening Prayer Podcast or our Youtube channel.

It would be great if you can share what God spoke to you about as a comment to the blog.

The format for this week is:

1. Open in Prayer

2. Scripture Reading: Luke 12:22-34 you can download this here. During the time of silence, we encourage you to read through the passage at least seven times. You will notice on the scripture sheet there is a place to mark each time you read through it.

3. Worship Song: Jireh

4. Question to ask God: Lord, how do you want to provide for me?

5. Take 20 minutes in silence to read through the scripture, to ask God the question and to ask him is there anything else He would like to speak to you about. Write down your answers.

6. Share with others what God has revealed to you. We do this as we believe that we hear the voice of God in community. What God says to you may well be the encouragement someone else needs. For those not on the call please feel free to what down what God speaks to you about in the comments section.

7. Close in prayer.
